Why We Love This Coffee

Ardi Natural is back! This is our fifth time purchasing this coffee, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts as we won a Good Food Award with the washed version of this coffee a few years back. This particular lot is from a farm managed by Mesfin Girma at 1,765 meters above sea level. And it is easy to see why it (or its cousin) is an award-winner! The flavor profile kicks off with that classic blueberry note with an almost pastry-like sweetness. As it cools, the peach flavor note that is so characteristic of Ethiopian coffees shines through. No fermenty-funk in this coffee; it is clean and hard to stop drinking!

As is nearly always the case with Ethiopian coffees, Ardi Natural is fantastic no matter how you brew it: auto drip, pourover, French Press (just make sure you grind pretty fine), espresso, flash-chilled iced coffee, you name it!

Looking for our (now sold out) Ethiopia Laayyoo Natural/Ethiopia Qabballe Natural/Ethiopia Hamasho Natural? This is our most similar coffee—imported by our good friend Samuel Demisse, founder of Keffa Coffee, who was born and raised in Ethiopia. We dig it, and we hope you do too!
