This coffee is the definition of balance. It has a nice, bright acidity, but it isn't overwhelming, and is rounded out with excellent sweetness. This is a classic example of the beauty of coffee from the Huila region of Colombia.
From our importer:
Finca La Suiza is owned by Hector Arcadio Zuñiga, a second-generation coffee producer from Acevedo, Huila, Colombia. Hector has been producing coffee for 25 years and works with his wife, daughter, and two sons on the farm. La Suiza is a 44-hectare coffee farm first and foremost; the plantain trees on site are for household consumption only. Like other large farms in the area, Hector and his team do their own processing on-site and utilize both sun and mechanical drying depending on the weather. The end result is a 2,100-bag harvest each year. Hector’s final words sum it all up perfectly,:
“All of us always working towards the same goal which is to offer you all the best cup. Just taste it.”
