Balanced sweetness with excellent structure, this coffee has something for all lovers of complex East African coffees.
It was processed at the Kariru washing station, one of twelve stations Baragwi Farmers Co-operative shares among its 2500 growers. "Kariru" was named after a native man famous to the area and began processing coffee cherries over 30 years ago in 1986; it is situated in western part of the Kirinyaga District on the southern slopes of the Mt. Kenya Forest Preserve. Over 980 growers contribute to the Kariru washing station.
