We picked up the last bag of this from one of our favorite importers, so when it's gone, it's gone for the season!
This is our first super fruity natural process offering! We tend to steer clear of naturals because they very often taste overly fermented, and the funk can be overwhelming. We are big fans of the intense grape/berry flavors that this process can provide, as long as the processing is done with care! We tasted dozens of naturals from a range of countries, and our team unanimously agreed that this was the cleanest, most intense in flavor, and the most complex. If you enjoy the berry bombs, you will love Bale Mountain.
From our importer: "Bale Mountain is a great project. Its a relatively new private farm in Bale Mountain National Park (there are lions here!) owned by Israel Degfa, where there are also several washing stations. It has been recently planted with coffees and are now going into full production. They are only making naturals so far. This area is not as common for coffee as others in the south, but there is a lot of development. The coffees are truly distinct and unique. They currently have about 70 hectares planted with coffee, and are increasing and still planting new trees. They invest a lot in the production only targeting the highest quality levels."
Roasting and Shipping Schedule:
Coffee is roasted on Wednesdays. If you order anytime up until 11pm Tuesday, we will roast the next day and ship on Thursday. Orders received after 11pm Tuesday may not get roasted until the following week. If we have extra inventory, we will ship ASAP.
